Description

NetRecon 3.0 Security Update 1 introduces checks for several different distributed denial of service attack tools, as well as checks for significant vulnerabilities in a number of popular ftp daemons.

  • trinoo trojan horse daemon allows attack-by-proxy
  • trinoo trojan horse master allows attack-by-proxy
  • tfn trojan horse daemon allows attack-by-proxy
  • ftp server MAPPING_CHDIR buffer overflow allows remote access as root
  • ftp server SITE NEWER command allows remote access as root
  • ftp server message file buffer overflow allows remote access as root
  • ftp server MKD buffer overflow allows remote access as root
