Note: If you plan to upgrade to Symantec ESM 5.5 in the near future, we recommend that you install Symantec ESM 5.5 before applying Security Update 15 (SU15). Symantec ESM 5.5 contains SU5. If SU15 is installed to an older version of Symantec ESM, it will need to be reapplied after Symantec ESM 5.5 is installed.

Description
Install Security Update 15 to upgrade the NetWare/NDS security modules on Symantec ESM 5.1 and 5.5 agents. For detailed descriptions of new features and enhancements, download the Symantec ESM Security Update 15 Release Notes file.

Note: SU15 is for NetWare/NDS operating systems only and replaces SU5. Use SU14 for IBM AIX operating systems. Use SU13 for Solaris 2.6-9+ and Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems. Use SU12 for other UNIX and Linux operating systems. This version of SU15 is compatible with ESM 5.5.1 Japanese.

NetWare/NDS platforms

Novell "Yes, Tested and Approved" Certification SU5 supported NetWare 4.2, 5.0 and 5.1 and is Novell certified. SU15 recertifies the Symantec ESM modules on NetWare 4.2, 5.0 and 5.1 as well as on NetWare 6.x.

Updated NetWare Modules

• File Attributes module (Now have separate file templates for each major version of NetWare)
• Object Integrity module (16 message names have been changed)
• New check/option names (62 check and option names have been changed)
