Symantec Enterprise Security Manager™ Response Policy for Sendmail Header Processing Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Symantec Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) response policies are configured by members of the Symantec Security Response team to respond to recent security incidents and newly-detected security vulnerabilities without waiting for scheduled module Security Update releases.

This policy detects whether appropriate vendor patches have been installed to eliminate the sendmail header processing buffer overflow vulnerability. Use this policy on agents running Solaris, AIX, or Red Hat Linux.
