Description
The ESM modules for IBM DB2 database are used to assess the security compliance of IBM DB2 version 8.1,8.2, 9.1, and 9.5 databases.

Enhancements
This release of Symantec Enterprise Security Manager™ Modules for IBM DB2 Databases provides the following enhancements:

• New ESM DB2 Discovery module
  The ESM DB2 Discovery is a host based module and does the following:
  • Automates the process of detection and configuration of new databases and instances that are not yet configured on the local ESM agent computers.
  • Detects the uninstalled databases and instances that are still configured on the ESM agent computers.
  • Lets you delete the configuration records of the uninstalled databases and instances from the ESM agent computers.
