Behavior
Dialer.InstantAccess is a dialer that gives a user access to the premium services of a third-party Web site, by dialing a high cost number using a modem.
Symptoms
- Your Symantec antivirus program detects Dialer.InstantAccess and Adware.InstantAccess.
- Unwanted pop-up ads.
- Presence of a link, FunFunFun.lnk, on the desktop.
Transmission
The dialer can be manually installed when visiting a participating site.
