W32.Mertian.Worm is a network-aware worm that copies itself to all the network shares without password protection. This mass-mailing worm also sends itself by using MAPI. But the mass-mailing function may not properly work.

The email may have the following characteristics:

Subject: want to see my new pic!!!
Message: Hi!! how r u? want to see my new look!!?
Attachment: My_New_pic.doc.exe

The worm is written in Microsoft Visual Basic, version 6.0.
