Symantec's System Builder Buying Program delivers branded security and availability solutions to system builders and system integrators for small business and consumer customers.
Designed specifically to meet the needs of this channel, the program offers the right products, cost-effective packaging, market-sensitive pricing, and the training and support required for partner success.
Program Requirements
Partners who purchase Symantec System Builder Products must agree to comply with the following Symantec System Builder Buying Program Requirements, which may change from time to time.- System Builder Products may not be advertised or sold on a stand-alone basis. Each System Builder Product must be sold in conjunction with a computer system, unless otherwise approved in writing by an authorized representative of Symantec.
- The license fee for System Builder Products shall be included in the price of the bundle and shall not be visible to the End User.
- System Builders shall not modify or disable any portion of the End User License Agreement (“EULA”) provided with the System Builder Products by Symantec.
- System Builders shall maintain an active website or a physical storefront/business location accessible by Symantec.
- System Builders may only purchase System Builder Products from a System Builder Distributor.
- System Builders shall advertise and distribute only the following versions of the System Builder Products:
- For SMB Products – The current shipping version
- For Consumer products – any version
- A System Builder Symantec Agreement Number (“SAN”) is required when placing orders for the 30 and 100 packs.
- When purchasing single or 3 Pack kits, by opening the package, you are accepting the terms and conditions of the Symantec System Builder Program.
Some Symantec System Builder Edition Products include an annual subscription to protection updates that are enabled upon acceptance of the end user license agreement.
To ensure that your customers receive the full length of the limited subscription to protection updates, please do not accept the end user license agreement on behalf of your customer.

- Symantec System Builder products are offered in convenient system builder packs (1, 3, 30 and 100).
- Symantec security offerings include a 365-day subscription to security updates.
- Symantec security offerings include activation codes used to enable subscription period.
- System Builder Edition Products can only be purchased from ASI

, Synnex
, or Tech Data
. - Each of the solutions are pre-packaged in a plain box containing individual polybags based on license pack purchased (i.e. 3-Pack has 3 polybags, 30-Pack has 30 polybags).
- Each polybags contains one of the following:
- Program Terms and Conditions, CD of the Symantec Product, product information card, license agreement and certificate of authenticity.

How To Get Started
Symantec System Builder products can be purchased through one of the Authorized Distributors. Our current System Builder distribution partners are ASITo purchase the Single and 3 packs, contact an authorized distributor. Pre-approval is required to purchase the 30 and 100 packs. To obtain approval, complete the Symantec System Builder Enrollment Form 
Upon approval, you will be provided with a Symantec Agreement Number (SAN) which will authorize you to purchase 30 and 100 pack System Builder SKUs. You will need to provide your Symantec Agreement Number (SAN) to distribution when placing your order.
