SYMANTEC ISYOUR PATH TO SUCCESS.

I knew that Symantec was an international organisation with an excellent reputation. Symantec also aligned fantastically with my degree – it meant I could learn about the IT industry, and particularly how marketing plays an important role in getting products to customers.

I’m involved in the organisation of a number of specialist technology events arranging speakers, venues and invitations, and then promoting the events to ensure we get enough registrations. I also help to organise Symantec’s attendance at the UK's only data storage and information management exhibition, and I work with design agencies to produce collateral for these events.

There are number of training opportunities on offer here. There are often courses taking place and you can receive ‘credits’ for taking part. When you have a certain amount of credits, you’re then rewarded by Symantec.

In terms of the culture, it’s professional and driven. We work hard but the people here are friendly and it’s a brilliant company to be a part of. I work with a very sociable team – in my first week we had a team BBQ and we also go for drinks or to the theatre. There’s also a gym with personal trainers onsite. I’ve already made some great friends here, everybody’s made me feel welcome.
