TalkWorks PRO 3.0 Manages Voice/Fax Communications to
Give Small Businesses a More Professional Image

today announced the availability of TalkWorks PRO
3.0, the complete voice and fax message solution for small
businesses and home offices. TalkWorks PRO gives small businesses a
powerful tool for projecting a more professional image by providing
access to urgent messages and tools for tracking and managing messages
effectively.
Staying on top of customer communication is key to the success of any
small business, said Christopher Calisi, vice president of Symantecs
Remote Productivity Business Unit. TalkWorks PRO makes it easy for
small business professionals to stay in constant contact with their
customers, wherever they are.
Professional, Robust Voicemail
A professional voicemail system is essential for every small business
and home office. TalkWorks PRO gives small businesses high-quality
voice messaging capabilities found in expensive, complex corporate
voicemail systems. TalkWorks PRO provides an extensive selection of
professionally pre-recorded greetings and offers users the option of
recording their own greetings. Users can create multiple mailboxes as
well as multi-tiered mailboxes to accommodate their specific business
needs.
TalkWorks PRO includes voicemail features that give businesses
increased control over communications. The new Caller ID-based Screen
Pop immediately links to the user's phone book and pulls up caller
information. ACT! and Microsoft Outlook users can access a contact's
record with a single mouse click. Having quick access to customer
information enables users to maximize the effectiveness of each call.
Also new in TalkWorks PRO is support for voicemail broadcast, which
enables small businesses to quickly communicate important information
to groups of customers or suppliers. For more personalized service,
TalkWorks PRO's Special Caller feature allows businesses to play
greetings to specific callers or direct them to specified mailboxes.
TalkWorks PRO also supports workgroup voicemail for groups of up to
15.
Flexible Call Transfer, Notification
Capabilities
With TalkWorks PRO's call transfer capabilities, small businesses need
never miss a single business call. TalkWorks users can provide callers
the option of transferring their live call to a predetermined phone
number, such as the user's cell phone. For flexible notification, the
software can try multiple numbers, to provide instant access to new
messages.
Complete Call Tracking
TalkWorks PRO generates four types of reports based on call records:
hangups, incoming call, outgoing call, and fax-on-demand. TalkWorks PRO
now categorizes and generates reports on fax-on-demand calls by
breaking down calls by mailbox, caller identification, and requested
documents as well as on hang-ups.
Comprehensive Fax Capabilities
WinFax PRO 9.0, the leading fax software, is
integrated into TalkWorks PRO to enable small businesses to use a
single phone line for both voice and fax communication. With this
software, small businesses can send laser-quality faxes from their PCs.
TalkWorks PRO includes state-of-the-art features that provide full fax
management. The version also supports fax-back and fax-on-demand to
enable businesses to respond to customer demands without user
intervention. It also supports Internet fax services.
Ease of Use
TalkWorks PRO features a newly designed mailbox setup wizard to ease
configuration. A unified interface, which combines telephone and
answering system, improves usability, making TalkWorks PRO the most

TalkWorks PRO is available now for US$129.95. Users of TalkWorks PRO
2.0 or WinFax PRO 8.0 can upgrade for US$79.95.
TalkWorks PRO requires a Pentium PC; Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0; 32MB RAM; and a compatible voice/fax modem.
