Cuna Mutual Group Chooses Symantec's Family Of Corporate Software Solutions

CUPERTINO, Calif. Oct. 13, 1999 - Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) announced today that the CUNA Mutual Group, the credit union insurance and financial services company, has purchased a company wide license for more than 7,000 seats combined of Norton AntiVirus, pcAnywhere and ACT!

CUNA Mutual, which serves credit unions in 57 countries with a menu of more than 250 products and services, has renewed a seat license for Norton AntiVirus. The company will rely on Norton AntiVirus to protect its network from virus detection at every level from email gateway through the server and desktop.

The company, with 5,000 employees and assets of $8 billion, has purchased a license for pcAnywhere and ACT!. pcAnywhere is the preferred choice of IT professionals worldwide for remote troubleshooting, helpdesk support and for providing connectivity for remote and mobile users. ACT! gives instant access to detailed contact and account information, plus a complete history of contact-related communications to help manage schedules more efficiently.
